Section 1  Evangelism
The NC district NYI develops and implements a variety of ongoing ministries and special events to reach young people for Christ, including:

New Years' Blast  Held as an overnight lock-in at the beginning of the year, intentional effort is given to create an activity that is attractive to a student, Christian or non-Christian.  A concert/service is held at the beginning, with the salvation message preached and an alter call given.

Local/Zone NYI  NC District NYI encourages evangelism through Local and Zone NYI Ministries.  This is based on the belief that there is a call to reach out into the communities in which God has placed us.  Through purposeful planning, Local and Zone NYIs can be evangelistic in their communities.  The NC District NYI Council strives to equip local and zone ministries to this end.

Section 2  Discipleship
The NC district NYI develops and implements a variety of ongoing ministries and special events to nurture and challenge young people to grow as disciples of Christ in personal devotion, worship, fellowship, ministry, and leading others to Christ, including:

Summer Camp  The primary purpose for camp is to provide an avenue of spiritual growth for students via an intense week of services and small group sessions.  Strong relationships are also built during the week that provide support and accountability for a student in their relationship with Jesus Christ.

Fall Retreat  A shortened version of Summer Camp, Fall Retreat also provides an opportunity for students to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ.

Quizzing  Quizzing is a year-long program that provides students with an intense look at a selected portion of the Bible.  Bible Memorization provides students with Biblical knowledge that will last them far beyond their teen years.  Because of the competitive nature of Bible Quizzing, it also promotes healthy attitudes and develops leadership skills.

CAUS Retreat  The CAUS Retreat is directed at College Age and University Students, providing a time for those students to grow as disciples of Christ through teaching and small group sessions.

Nazarene Youth Congress  NYC is a Global NYI event that brings Nazarene teens from USA and Canada together for a week of intense discipleship.  Corporate Worship, top-notch speakers, and service projects work together to provide a once-in-a-lifetime experience for a student.

Section 3  Leadership Development
The NC district NYI develops and implements a variety of ongoing ministries and special events to mentor and equip young people to be leaders for Christ and His church, including:

TNT Events  Through TTF Sports Weekend, Teen Talent Festival, and
TNT @ TNU
, students are able to explore the talents and gifts God has given them in a competitive environment.  Students become strong servant leaders by learning to maintain the attitude of Jesus Christ while competing.

IMPACT  IMPACT is a year-long program which allows students who are selected to be leaders in ministry as they spend a weekend at various churches across the zone, as they take part in services and service projects.

NYI Convention  NYI Convention is an annual event that serves to equip student and adult leaders in their local ministries.  There is a time of celebration to praise God for all He has done, and a time of vision to realize and pray for all that God has planned to do in the future for NC District NYI and the local ministries within North Carolina.

Youth Equipped to Serve Seminar  YES is a week-long bi-annual Regional NYI event that provides teaching and ministry opportunities to allow students to explore a call God may have placed on their lives for full-time ministry.

Summer Missions Trips  Occasionally, the NC District will sponsor extended service projects during the summer.  These are great opportunities for students to develop a servant leadership lifestyle as they go out of their comfort zone in service to others.
